Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data NetVetted (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit netvetted.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for the data described here. Contact: contact@netvetted.com, Phoenix Business Centre, The Penthouse, Old Railway Track, Santa Venera SVR 9022, Malta.
1. Summary
- We do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell your personal data.
- We record technical data about each visit to measure our advertising and to calculate affiliate commissions.
- If you buy a product after clicking our link, the purchase happens on the seller’s website under the seller’s privacy policy.
2. Data we collect
Visit data, collected automatically by our server:
- IP address, approximate country, browser and device type (user agent), language settings and referring page.
- The page address you visited, including advertising parameters added by ad platforms, such as the Google click identifier (gclid), campaign, ad group and keyword.
- A visit identifier we generate for each page view.
Interaction data: a small script on our offer pages reports whether the page became visible and how long it was open. When you click a button that leads to an offer, our server records the click, including the request headers, cookies sent to our domain, page address parameters, IP address and browser type.
Conversion data from affiliate partners: when a purchase follows a click from our Site, the partner tells us the visit identifier, the transaction status and the commission amount. Partners do not send us your name, email or payment details.
Data you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
We serve visitors mainly in the United States, Australia and Ecuador. The legal bases below are stated in GDPR terms and also cover the laws in section 7.
- To run and secure the Site, including preventing fraud and invalid ad traffic. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To measure advertising and attribute commissions, including reporting conversions to Google Ads. Legal basis: your consent where required by law (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules), otherwise our legitimate interests.
- To answer your messages. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in responding to you.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site and its partners use cookies, local storage and scripts for the purposes below.
- Strictly necessary: delivering pages securely, including Cloudflare security and performance services.
- Analytics and measurement: Google Tag Manager and Cloudflare Web Analytics, to understand how pages perform.
- Advertising and affiliate tracking: when you click an offer button, our server passes a visit identifier to the seller so a purchase can be credited to the right ad click. Google may set advertising cookies when you arrive from a Google ad.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop you from using the Site, but some measurement will no longer work. You can control personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Who we share data with
- Hosting and infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare and MongoDB Atlas, which store and process data on our behalf.
- Google, for advertising measurement. We send Google the click identifier and conversion details so Google Ads can count a purchase. We do not send your name or email address.
- Affiliate partners and networks, such as TotalAV. When you click an offer link, we pass the visit identifier so the partner can report the sale back to us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
We keep visit and interaction data only as long as needed to reconcile affiliate commissions and advertising reports, and no longer than 13 months. Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request. Server security logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use for advertising measurement. Email contact@netvetted.com with the subject line “Privacy request”. We reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
United States
Residents of California and of other states with consumer privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and Utah, have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its “sale”, “sharing” or use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Sending click identifiers to Google for advertising measurement may count as “sharing” or targeted advertising under some of these laws. To opt out, email contact@netvetted.com or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honour as an opt-out. You may use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.
Australia
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can access and correct personal information we hold about you. Some of it is stored by our providers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. If you are unhappy with how we handled a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Ecuador
Under the Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos Personales, you have the rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection, portability and suspension of processing, and the right not to be subject to decisions based only on automated processing. We process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and measuring the Site, and on your consent where the law requires it. Your data is transferred to providers in the United States and the European Union, protected by contractual safeguards. You may complain to the Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales.
